Республиканское производственное унитарное предприятие «Завод точной электромеханики» создано с целью осуществления деятельности в отношении продукции военного назначения и других специализированных товаров (работ, услуг). Датой образования предприятия является 27 мая 2009 года
Основными направлениями деятельности предприятия являются:
-
осуществление научных исследований по изысканию принципов и путей создания новых и совершенствования существующих систем, комплексов, образцов вооружения и военной техники, организации их производства;
-
проведение НИОК(Т)Р по разработке современных образцов вооружения (РСЗО, РК, ОТРК), модернизации управляемых и неуправляемых ракет и реактивных снарядов, продлению сроков технической пригодности средств поражения и их утилизации;
-
совершенствование производственной и испытательной базы предприятия для обеспечения полного цикла разработки и локализации производства ракетных комплексов и ракет;
-
разработка и изготовление различных видов электронных тренажеров, обучающих систем и полигонного оборудования;
-
управление спутником и обеспечение непрерывной связи с ним, эксплуатация сетей спутниковой связи, обеспечение бесперебойной и корректной работы радиочастотного оборудования, антенн и антенных систем наземного комплекса управления;
-
предоставление услуг аренды каналов связи на спутнике зарубежным и белорусским потребителям (государственным и частным телевизионным и радиовещательным каналам).
Республиканское производственное унитарное предприятие «Завод точной электромеханики» является головным предприятием по разработке и производству ракетного вооружения, в том числе реактивной системы залпового огня В-200 «Полонез» и ракетного комплекса В-300РК «Полонез-М».
